It is difficult to imagine the fast-casual dining scene-or American life at large, for that matter-without McDonald’s in it. It would be impossible to overstate the contributions of the hamburger giant to our current restaurant culture; from the food, to the service, to the prices, the Golden Arches have long set the standard for both what customers expect and what chains choose to offer. Despite being a septuagenarian now, the eatery shows no signs of slowing down; extremely busy franchise group Meoli Companies is preparing to bring a new location to Clarksville, Delaware later this year, reports local media outlet Delaware Online.
Construction is underway on McDonald’s brand-new home at 35010 Atlantic Avenue. Ground was officially broken for the Golden Arches in late May of this year, and Meoli Companies-helmed by its namesake Mike Meoli-anticipates an autumn opening. The building will ultimately provide McDonald’s with 4,500 square feet and is what Meoli describes as a “standard McDonald’s”, complete with a drive-thru.
Meoli sees a great deal of potential in the new McDonald’s site, saying: “People have asked me, ‘Why the Clarksville/Millville/Ocean View area?’ My answer: Why not? Have you seen what’s happening along the Route 26 corridor? We’ve been looking for the right site in this area for 10 years, and I’m convinced we’ve found the right location.”
Clarksville residents can look forward to a smoothly and efficiently run Mickey D’s; Meoli and his team know their way around the franchise. The hospitality group currently own 37 locations of the beloved favorite.
