Restaurateurs Sean Coyle and Brendan McGrew are bringing a new and vibrant Italian eatery to Manayunk this fall. The restaurant, Mia Ragazza, will be located at 4411 Main Street, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Mia Ragazza is still awaiting permit approvals. The establishment will take over the space previously occupied by Bernie’s Restaurant and Bar.

Coyle is a well-established Manayunk institution. The entrepreneur is most well known for the Goat’s Beard, but has had an active presence in the area since opening Bourbon Blue in 2002. Speaking of Mia Ragazza, Coyle states “I had a concept I really liked, and it fits with the street. There’s not much Italian on Main Street, so I thought it would be good to fill that gap.”

The restaurant will occupy two floors and 4,000 square feet. Coyle intends for the restaurant to provide seating for 175 customers in total. The downstairs will provide accommodations for 75 guests, while the upper story will seat 50 visitors.

Coyle intends for Mia Ragazza to provide ample al fresco dining. Each story offers an outdoor terrace that seats between 12 and 15 guests. Additionally, the owners are hoping to obtain permits for seating outside of the restaurant.

Mia Ragazza will focus heavily on hand-made pastas. The eatery will also offer Roman-style pizzas. Cocktail fans can look forward to house-made limoncellos and an espresso martini bar.
