South Jersey foodies rejoice! A Michelin-recommended restaurant is coming to Cherry Hill’s Towne Place at Garden State Park. Leasing documents show Shanghainese restaurant Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao has signed on to lease a 6,016 sq. ft. space at the Cherry Hill shopping center at 901 Haddonfield Rd. Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao, which currently has a location at 39-16 Prince St. in Flushing, is known for its soup dumplings.

Their New York location is decorated in traditional Chinese design elements and accommodates seating for 150 guests who can watch dumplings being hand-wrapped through the restaurant’s open kitchen.

Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao was named a Michelin-recommended Shanghainese restaurant for nine consecutive years and has been deemed “The City’s Best Soup Dumplings” by news outlets like Eater, New York Magazine, Grub Street, and Gothamist.

Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao is named after the place where soup dumplings originated from, which is Nan Xiang County in Shanghai, China, and Xiao Long Bao means “soup dumpling.” Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao prides itself on serving “the most original flavors from China” in signature dishes like their crab and pork soup dumplings, pan-fried crispy noodles, fish fillet and pickled cabbage noodle soup, and Shanghainese dim sum.
