The new outpost, which is slated to open later this winter, has been a long time coming for local franchisee Philip Stuck.

Mr. Sticky’s, the beloved hometown heroes of the sticky bun and cinnamon bun game, will be opening a new location at 4830 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg later this winter, helmed by local franchisee and Mr. Sticky’s devotee, Philip Stuck, who’s been a fan for 15-plus years.

“I have a cabin up north,” Stuck tells What Now Philadelphia, “and we’d always go through Williamsport, which is their main location – the first place they opened up. And I’ve always been saying to my older brother I just never understood why there wasn’t a location in the greater Harrisburg area.”

As such, Stuck began looking into the possibility of franchising a location some three years ago, however, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, that not only delayed his plans but also strengthened his resolve “because comfort foods” are something “people never get away from,” says Stuck. Then, last year, he decided to make good on his plans and move forward with the venture.

“I’m very excited to bring Mr. Sticky’s to the Harrisburg area because they are extremely addicting,” says Stuck. “I mean, I’ve been eating them for 15-plus years, and I know how good they are. They’re very much like what I grew up with – with what my mother and my grandmother used to make. They are, again, just extremely addicting.”

The menu varies from one Mr. Sticky’s location – of which there are four, three in Pennsylvania and one in North Carolina – but Stuck says his outpost will feature sticky buns and a cinnamon bun, as well as the company’s signature icing varieties, served alongside gourmet coffee, standard coffee, nitro cold brew, and soft drinks.
