Mullica Hills, get ready for a healthier fast-casual option. Playa Bowls, the up-and-coming concept that focuses on smoothies and acai bowls, is opening a new location in the region, reports local media outlet 42Freeway.

Local franchisees Krissy and Greg Christian will be bringing nutritious options to 104 North Main Street. Playa Bowls will be providing a very different flair to the storefront, taking over the space vacated by Pat’s Pizzeria. Pat’s closed down relatively recently, making it difficult to prognosticate an opening for Playa Bowls; What Now Philadelphia has reached out to Krissy Christian for further information and is awaiting response.

The Christians already own and operate one storefront of the popular chain in Sewell. Krissy previously told What Now Philadelphia that she and her partner were drawn to the company owing to its commitment to healthy options and high quality products. She states that customers can look forward to: “Superior service from an attentive and friendly staff serving a delicious, healthy product to the local community!”

Playa Bowls first entered the fast-casual scene in 2014. The menu offers a range of bowls, smoothies, juices, and cold brews. The chain has enjoyed incredible success as customers increasingly demand nutritious options and has expanded to include more than 300 locations.
