A seasoned veteran of the Philadelphia metropolitan area’s dining scene is striding confidently into 2025. Nudy’s Cafe is continuing its 46 year history of serving great food in a welcoming environment with a new Glen Mills location and plans for two more restaurants later this year, reports The Philadelphia Business Journal.
First up for the hospitality institution is a new home at 31 West Baltimore Pike. Nudy’s will be moving into the space vacated by Bryn Mawr Trust bank; the chain often repurposes bank buildings, turning the drive-thrus into patio areas.
Nudy’s Cafe owner, Ray Nudy, tells What Now Philadelphia that the location is ideal for the eatery-which will also be able to offer the neighborhood something distinctive and necessary. He explains: “There’s a lot of nice developments going up around there…we can get the square footage and plenty of parking.” He adds “Glen Mills has a need for it. We’ll be able to be a good part of the community.”
Glen Mills diners will be able to sample Nudy’s fare soon; Ray anticipates a soft opening by the end of this week.
Nudy is hoping to launch two new locations annually, however he is not including the Glen Mills location as part of 2025’s roster. He and his team are courting locations in Plymouth Meeting and Doylestown, though precise spots have not yet been selected. He states “We’re looking for spots…we have a couple leads we’re going to look into. Hopefully throughout this year we’ll be able to find those two spots.”
