A Philadelphia hot chicken restaurant is preparing to double its impact on the City of Brotherly Love. OK Hot Chicken will be opening its second location in Olney later this year, reports local media outlet Philly Grub.

The brand, which made a splash in South Philly, will be opening this winter at 5533 North 5th Street. Hot chicken is taking over the fast-casual restaurant scene, but OK Hot Chicken sets itself apart from the throng by serving Indonesian-style Halal food.

OK Hot Chicken co-owner Berry The spoke with What Now Philadelphia about expanding the innovative concept. Olney, he explains, provides a restaurant community conducive to drawing new customers to the brand. “Olney, especially on 5th Street, is a lively and busy commercial street that already has a bunch of great food vendors.” he states, adding “OK Hot Chicken would be a nice addition to this area.”

OK has seen a great deal of success in South Philly, and intends to carry that heat to Olney. The says “We started our first location in South Philly and have been getting an amazing response from OK lovers. Now is better than later!”

The and his crew plan to become a part of the neighborhood. The restauranter explains “Our goal is to best serve the community, and we hope our customers love our food and the flavor we bring to the neighborhood.”

Olney residents can look forward to sampling OK Hot Chicken’s delicious sliders, wings, and tenders in mid-February. OK Hot Chicken is certain to bring something special to the local dining scene. As The states “We strive to be the number one hot chicken store in Philadelphia. We believe in good, quality food and fresh ingredients, and we will maintain our good reputation.”
