The Plymouth Square shopping center is about to get a little tastier. Beloved chain P.J. Whelihan’s is opening a new restaurant in Conshohocken this fall, reports local media outlet Newsbreak.
The PJW Restaurant group is opening the beloved eatery’s latest home at 200 Ridge Pike, Unit 117. The new location, set to open between September 18 and October 1, will occupy 8,000 square feet. Eimer Design will oversee the design of the space. Additionally, the Conshohocken P.J. Whelihan’s will feature the brand’s signature audio-visual package, consisting of 50 televisions and a 200-inch video wall.
The PJW Restaurant group, which also contains the Chop House, Central Taco and Tequila, and Treno Pizza Bar, has re-focused all of their energy and resources to the P.J. Whelihan’s brand.
The opening of the Conshohocken P.J. Whelihan’s-PJW’s 23rd, overall-marks the end of a busy year for the group. The location will be the restaurateurs’ fourth opening in just over a year. PJW has set a rather ambitious goal of opening three P.J. Whelihan’s in the greater Philadelphia area annually until they have reached the maximum capacity for the area. The group aims to achieve this by branching out into Delaware and expanding its presence in Lehigh, Bucks, and Delaware counties.
The first P.J. Whelihan’s opened in Lehighton in 1983. The restaurant specializes in well-prepared pub food, ranging from wings, to nachos, to burgers. The eatery has an impressive array of local, craft, and domestic beers on tap.
