After nearly two years of anticipation, one of America’s favorite chains is preparing to open its next Philadelphia location. Local franchisee Shah Management Co. is nearing the finish line on a Chestnut Street Dunkin’ that has been in development since October of 2023, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Fans of the donut giant will be able to stop into 1001 Chestnut Street for a sweet treat and a cup of coffee later this summer. Shah Management’s director of operations Brian McCauley states that the company is hoping for an August or September opening for the storefront.

Dunkin’ has been the first name in donuts since the brand entered the fast-casual dining scene in 1950 in Quincy, Massachusetts. Fueled by the delicious pastry it was initially named after and one of the U.S.’s favorite cups of coffee, the eatery exploded to its now massive numbers; Dunkin’ has approximately 12,900 locations spread over 42 countries. More than 9,400 of those storefronts are in the United States.
