Fast-casual chicken juggernaut, Raising Cane’s, has big plans to continue its New Jersey expansion. The popular chain will be proposing the construction of a new location at 5241 Route 41 in Washington Township at the township meeting held on July 18, reports local media outlet 42Freeway.

The proposal will address parking spot, loading space, and sign variances.

The proposed Raising Cane’s will be 3,312 square feet. The building will offer guests both indoor and outdoor seating. The facility will also include a double drive-thru.

If approved, the new restaurant will be erected on the Black Horse Pike property. The Pep Boys currently standing on the location will need to be demolished before construction can begin on the Raising Cane’s.

The eatery has no official opening date yet. The brand also has New Jersey locations planned for Marlton, Burlington, Glassboro, Deptford, and Cherry Hill.

Raising Cane’s, founded in Louisiana in 1996, specializes in fresh, made-to-order chicken tenders. Customers can enjoy the fingers on their own in a meal or on a sandwich. The restaurant offers freshly made crinkle fries and coleslaw as sides. Guests are particularly enthusiastic about the signature Cane sauce.

Raising Cane’s has more than 600 locations globally.
