A year after its initial proposal, a chicken giant has officially received the go-ahead for a new Garden State location. Raising Cane’s has been granted permission to build a Millville storefront, reports local media outlet 42Freeway.

The poultry juggernaut will be developing on a lot located at Route 47 and Cumberland Crossing Boulevard that was originally intended to house a LIDL. Site plans filed with the City of Millville Planning Board show that the restaurant will occupy 3,355 square feet and will provide visitors with 33 parking spaces. Raising Cane’s will have a double drive-thru lane for customers on the go.

Interior plans show the restaurant should have seating for around 33 customers across 11 tables. Future regulars can also look forward to enjoying their chicken fingers and sandwiches al fresco; the renderings propose a patio with room for up to 9 guests.

An opening timeline is impossible to estimate at this point, however the Planning Board approval brings Millville Caniacs one step closer to sinking their teeth into the brand’s signature cuisine, which is distinguished by its simple but effective recipe.

Raising Cane’s has earned a devoted fan-following through its straightforward menu. The restaurant offers made-to-order chicken fingers or chicken sandwiches, with side options of crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw.
