An exciting new restaurant is currently getting ready to open up at Rittenhouse Square later this year.

Restaurant Aleksandar is a brand new concept from owner Aleksandar Stojnic. The restaurant is described online as “Downscale fine dining with a wine and spirits library” and is currently in the process of staffing up ahead of their big debut.

According to a recently updated job posting, Aleksandar is expected to open up at 126 South 19th Street, only a block away from Rittenhouse Square. The space was formerly home to V Street, a popular vegan restaurant from owners Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby. The two are best known for establishing the beloved vegetable-forward restaurant Vedge, which has been going strong since 2011 at 1221 Locust Street.

Conveniently located less than a block from Rittenhouse Square, the new lease is an impressive acquisition for the new restaurant. What Now Philly spoke briefly with Company Director Andrew Hueston, who revealed that while he is excited for the new project, he and his team were still too early into development to share further details. He preferred not to share any information until the PR team is prepared to fully discuss the concept.

The team is still in the staffing and planning phase at the moment, but interested applicants can take a look at Aleksandar’s Culinary Agents page to find the relevant information. While Google lists a temporary opening date of July 15th, you will have to wait until Aleksandar launches its official social media presence before learning more details. When Aleksandar’s PR team is ready to release more information, we will update this article accordingly with all the exciting new details.
