Celebrated chef Joanne Canady-Brown is getting ready to bring new life to a Trenton storefront. The baker and philanthropist is opening a new location of Rojo’s Roastery this spring, reports local media outlet NJ.com.

The cafe will be taking over the storefront at 102 South Warren Street that was last occupied by Starbucks. Canady-Brown is ensuring locals don’t miss their coffee fix, while also offering delicious baked goods and a welcoming atmosphere.

The entrepreneur intends to make the space the flagship location for Rojo’s, as well as a training space for her bakery, The Gingered Peach. She states: “I saw all the different ways we can not only create a new roastery, but also a jovial, communal gathering space reminiscent of Rojo’s past. I also saw a makers space where the teams at @thegingeredpeach and Rojo’s could come together under one roof to execute their crafts.”

She is enthusiastic about bringing delicious food and drink to the neighborhood, assuring future regulars they can expect: “Amazing coffee and delicious donuts all under one roof. Thank you for your continued support at our Princeton location and we’re super excited to be creating the production space that will allow us to stay in Palmer Square for many years to come.”
