A Vorhees vineyard is preparing to bring superior wine and fine dining to an historic tract of New Jersey land. Saddlehill Cellars, the brainchild of entrepreneur Bill Green, will begin pouring glasses and serving meals this spring, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The vineyard, complete with a fully operational restaurant, is located on a sprawling, 69.8-acre estate at 1407 White Horse Road. Saddlehill will feature a 7,000 square foot tasting room called The Farmhouse Kitchen, headed by executive chef Daniel Stern. The vineyard and tasting room are slated to open their doors on April 10.

Saddlehill Cellars can trace its inception back to 2021, when Green purchased Stafford Farm and began the process of turning it into a vineyard. 27 acres are dedicate to the vines growing the grapes that experienced winemaker Peter Szerdahelyi turns into memorable, delicious vinos.

Green intends to make Saddlehill a welcoming oasis of calm, where visitors can appreciate the serenity of the location while enjoying refreshments, and maybe even making a new fuzzy friend. A press release provided to What Now Philadelphia by Green states “Saddlehill is more than just a winery and a restaurant. It’s a sanctuary, a place for people to gather, connect with nature, and experience the simple pleasures of life. Visitors can view the flower gardens, relax in the tasting room or vineyards with a glass of Saddlehill’s finest wine. The estate also boasts a beautiful 12-stall horse barn, a nod to the farm’s history and a  testament to the Greens commitment to the history of the farm. Adding to the farm’s charm are four alpacas that greet you as you pass through the properties main gate.”

Green and his team are dedicated to respecting the land, while crafting high-quality wine and delicious cuisine made with seasonal ingredients sourced from the vast estate. Green sums up his vision for Saddlehill, saying “”Saddlehill is a dream come true. It’s a place where we can share our passion for wine, food, and community with others. We can’t wait to welcome you to Saddlehill and create lasting memories together.”
