A growing, refreshing concept is preparing to bring a burst of sweet coolness to Newark later this year. Smoothie King is preparing to blend its way into area hearts this summer.

The chain will be serving its signature treats at 2651 Pulaski Highway. Local franchisee Chaitesh Sheth spoke with What Now Philadelphia about bringing the brand’s delicious and healthy treats to Newark.

Sheth explains that he was actively looking for smoothie franchises when he landed on Smoothie King. He states that he was drawn to the company’s commitment to using superior ingredients, saying “Everything is natural. They don’t use any artificial flavors. People love the Smoothie King’s products!”

Sheth believes that Smoothie King will fill a void in the local dining scene. “There are no other smoothie shops around there.” he states, adding that construction will begin on the new store in May.

While Sheth has plans to open further Smoothie Kings, his focus for the present is on opening the Newark location. He is hoping to begin helping residents beat the heat in July.
