A New York based hospitality group is preparing to add a little extra flavor to the Toms River dining scene. Bread & Butter Hospitality is opening a new location of its popular Sofia’s Taqueria restaurant in the area later this year, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press.

The restaurant group selected a space well suited to accommodate its beloved Mexican concept; Sofia’s is taking over the old home of Roxy’s Bar and Grille, at 11 Kettle Creek Road. Development is moving along at a quick pace, making Bread & Butter optimistic for a December opening.

Once opened, Sofia’s will have ample room to accommodate the hungry residents of Toms River. The completed restaurant will have space for up to 300 visitors, with seats for around 80 of those guests at the bar. Additionally, the taqueria will feature an outdoor dining option for patrons who prefer to enjoy their meals al fresco.

Sofia’s Taqueria currently has four open locations spread across New York and New Jersey. The menu offers an impressive array of Mexican cuisine, including unique and unexpected guacamole options like strawberry-cucumber and mango-habanero. Guests can look forward to feasting on quesadillas, salads, burritos, and tacos.
