A pair of local businesses are joining forces to bring the ultimate team-up to Carlisle. The Southside Deli and the team behind the Molly Pitcher Brewing Company are pairing up to open the Coach’s Corner bar.
Molly Pitcher will be bringing its high-quality, locally-brewed beers to Southside Deli’s home at 2 York Road. Molly Pitcher Brewing Company Vice President Cassie Fourlas tells What Now Philadelphia that the two companies came up in the area together, and are fortunate to have complementary products. ”Both of us have been in business in this town for a decent amount of time”, she states. “We both started on South Street.”
Fourlas explains that Scalles-the previous inhabitant of Southside’s current home-used to serve alcohol, and many patrons will be excited to once again enjoy a sudsy drink alongside their meals. “I think some of the customers may miss that, so it’s a win-win for both.”
Molly Pitcher will be moved in and ready to start pouring pints for visitors at some point in February. Fourlas states: “Construction is all done; we do have a small brewing system in there as well. It’s the waiting game of getting the beers hooked up, everyone trained and ready to go.”
Coach’s Corner will serve all Molly Pitcher beers. Fourlas believes that visitors will be particularly taken with the brewery’s Carlisle Light’s, the company’s interpretation of a macro light lager. The bar will have four taps for rotating brews, and a cooler for cans of any beers not on tap.
In addition to Molly Pitcher’s signature brews, the tavern will serve a selection of Pennsylvania liquors, wines, and ciders to complement Southside Deli’s fare.
