The countdown is on for Westfield foodies hoping for a healthy, fast-casual bite. Sweetgreen is opening a new location in the neighborhood early next year.

Westfield diners will be able to grab a quick and nutritious meal on the go from the popular chain’s new home at 221 East Broad Street. Sweetgreen will be opening in the space that previously housed the Farmhouse store on January 21, 2025.

The chain is inviting curious locals to pop in for a preview and a free meal on January 15 or 16.

Sweetgreen first threw its hat into the fast-casual dining scene in 2007. The DC-based concept has experienced massive success, spreading to include 221 locations across the country, 15 of which are in New Jersey.

Sweetgreen’s menu offers diners a healthier alternative to typical fast-casual dining. The eatery specializes in salads and warms bowls, and features seasonal selections that rotate 5 times annually.
