Tatte to Make Jersey Debut

The popular bakery will be entering the Garden State in April of this year.

A New York export is preparing to bake its way into the hearts of Jersey eaters. Tatte Bakery & Cafe is making its Garden State debut later this year, reports local media outlet NJ.com.

The celebrated Boston-based bakery will be opening at 222 East Ridgewood Avenue, taking over the space most recently vacated by Jos. A Banks. Tatte hasn’t revealed an exact opening date yet, however job postings for the location show that the establishment is projecting an April opening.

While Tatte is new to the New Jersey culinary scene, the concept has made quite a splash in its home base of Boston and the DMV region. Founded in 2007 by Tzurit Or, the chain has spread to 39 locations-and growing-across Massachusetts and the DC metropolitan area.

The Tatte menu features a range of freshly prepared sweet and savory selections (including fan-favorite all day breakfast options). The website describes what New Jersey foodies can look forward to, saying: “The chefs in our scratch kitchens have a simple philosophy: fresh, whole ingredients make the best dishes. We’re pleased to offer plenty of nutritious, flavorful options so that however you define healthful eating, you’ll always find something to delight you.”
