A born-and-bred Philadelphia coffee shop is preparing to open a third location. Rival Bros Coffee will begin caffeinating Brewerytown residents next year, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The cafe will be opening in the Poth Brewery building at 3145 West Jefferson Street. A precise date has not yet been announced, but the company anticipates opening in January of 2024.
The brainchild of longtime friends Jonathan Adams and Damien Pileggi, Rival Bros announced their intentions for the newest location on Facebook in August of 2022. The Brewerytown location joins Rival Bros existing Tasker Street and Lombard Street storefronts on the cafe’s roster of Philadelphia shops.
Roaster Pileggi and chef Adams formed the Rival Bros company in 2011. The beans utilized by the cafes are freshly roasted daily in Frankford. The shops feature espresso beverages, a Chemex bar, and kombucha.
Additionally, Rival Bros is partnered with several Philadelphia eateries to provide delicious treats to accompany customers’ daily cups of java. Guests can enjoy pastries from Au Fournil, baked goods from the Mighty Bread Co., and truffles from Eclat Chocolates.
