Waffa! Theory is slated to open doors in early 2022 at 322 Rowan Blvd. in Glassboro. Its holding company, The Waffle Shop LLC, signed a lease earlier this year for a 3,420 square-foot space at the Whitney Center, which was established in 2012 as university housing with commercial space on its first floor.
Whether they will focus on desserts, breakfast, or a mixture of both, Waffa! Theory hopes the bustling college community of nearby Rowan University will embrace the “new and innovative” concept they are bringing to the table, according to owner Nicole Jones.
“We have a new and innovative concept that we hope will be embraced — our theory is that it will (hence the name!),” Jones told What Now Philadelphia in an email this week.
Although the LLC is seemingly similar to The Original Waffle Shop, which has two loctions in College Park, PA, there is no connection to Waffa! Theory.
Details regarding the planned Waffa! Theory are scarce. Jones declined further comment writing she “would welcome the opportunity to talk” closer to the restaurant’s 2022 debut.
