Philadelphia wine fans, get ready to welcome back an old friend. WineDive, a South Street institution that shut down due to a fire in 2022, is reopening in a new space, but with the same great drinks and service, later this year, reports Foobooz.
The trio of Heather Annechiarico, Chris Fetfatzes, and Susan Freeman will be bringing the boozy concept to 1534 Sansom Street. The wine bar will be quite a departure for the space, having previously housed Princess Nail.
Described in a social media post as “a divey Old Hollywood hideaway”, WineDive will invite visitors to enjoy an intimate and vintage evening. The space will accommodate up to 30 guests, with 14 of the available seats relegated to the bar.
The concept, which is set to open at a not-yet-specified date in mid-summer, will be open and serving guests from 4pm to 2 am daily.
Annechiarico, Fetfatzes, and Freeman are excited to once again pour for Philadelphia vino enthusiasts-with the possibility of even more glasses on the horizon. Fetfatzes states: “We firmly believe in the WineDive brand, as we love our original South Street location, which Philadelphians have so much affinity for, and we’re certain that this is a brand that will grow to multiple locations.“
Hungry guests will be able to lay a solid foundation for their night of imbibing thanks to a menu of delicious and affordable comfort foods including chicken nuggets, fancy grilled cheese, and roast beef sandwiches.
