Zekraft, a South Bethlehem cafe and meal delivery service, will open a brand new brick-and-mortar at the Simon Silk Mill in Easton. Zeke and Elaine Zelker say their second eatery will take over the former Tucker Silk Mill space at 1247 Simon Blvd. N. 107 and open in mid-May.

“We are excited to announce the second location of Zekraft! It’s a sort of homecoming since we’ve been early believers in the Simon Silk Mill project, being the first to locate our studios there. We look forward to growing with and nourishing the community!” a post on their Instagram page reads.

Zekraft Easton is a 1,200 sq ft. space with seating for around 24. The eatery serves gourmet tartines, like their smoked turkey and brie with a spicy raspberry sauce, salads, including a Thai peanut chicken salad, eye/mouth candy desserts like pudding parfait jars, fresh bread loaves, and homemade pastries. They also offer organic fair-trade café drinks. On their home meal delivery menu, you’ll find dishes like braised beef pappardelle and shrimp Camarones a la Mexicana with sautéed shrimp, tomato, onion, jalapeño, garlic, and spices over white rice. Zekraft also offers catering.

“We are excited to do some special events and have special menus to keep things fresh and exciting,” Zelker told What Now Philadelphia.

In addition to their café items and meals, Zekraft also sells thoughtfully sourced local food, craft, and kitchen items. So, you’ll find items from and made with products from companies like Nello’s Speciality Meats from Nazareth and Valley Shepherd Creamery in Long Valley, NJ. Zelker says he and his wife plan to continue expanding the Zekraft brand.

“We started with meal delivery and moved into doing farmer’s markets. As soon as we did that, people started asking us if we were a part of a franchise. That prompted us to open our first permanent location in Bethlehem. So, our goal is to open a number of them throughout the Lehigh Valley,” Zelker said.
