Lehigh Valley diners hoping to work up an appetite before feasting will have a new favorite location. HangDog Outdoor Adventure is scheduled to open at 410 Cedarville Road by the end of July, reports local media outlet 69 News.
Once completed, the establishment, which refers to itself as an “eatertainment destination” will be North Eastern America’s largest outdoor ropes course.
The entertainment complex will provide plenty of diversion for climbers and non-climbers alike. HangDog will feature a Dog Park Beer Garden, where visitors can bring their pets. The beer garden will provide live entertainment and outdoor games, while serving guests cold beers and frozen slushies. The garden also contains the HangDog Cafe, where hungry customers can purchase snacks.
A gourmet food truck will offer guests additional dining options.
Athletic visitors can enjoy adult and children courses, two 240 foot ziplines, 115 climbing elements, and four stories of climbing obstacles.
While this year the establishment will open in late July, subsequent seasons will run from April through November. The precise end date will hinge on the weather.
Founder Mike McCreary also runs Lehigh Valley Grand Prix and the axe-throwing establishment, Go! Axe.
The entrepreneur states “We’re proud to be opening our second adrenaline destination in the Lehigh Valley. I was inspired by the resurgence of interest in outdoor family-friendly activities during the pandemic and knew that the Lehigh Valley needed a one-stop food and fun destination for day trippers and residents.”
The course, initially approved in February of 2022, will be able to accommodate up to 150 visitors.
