Dunkin’ has been an integral part of American culture since first entering the scene in 1950. While the chain has undergone many evolutions, one thing remains consistent; as the brand’s slogan suggests, America runs on Dunkin’. It is appropriate then that the donut company is bringing its wares to one of the nation’s historical epicenters. Franchisee Shah Management Co. has purchased a property in Old City for its next Dunkin location, set to open next year, reports the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The beloved concept will be brewing up coffee and frying sweet treats in a three story building located at 302 Market Street. The cumulative space encompasses 3,000 square feet, however only the ground level will be dedicated to Dunkin’. Shah Management does not yet have clear intentions for its plans with the remaining space.

Shah Management is projecting a spring of 2026 opening for its Old City Dunkin’ location.

Shah Management’s director of operations Brian McCauley explains that the franchisee has been hoping to move into the Old City neighborhood for six years. The company believes that the region will draw in a varied and desirable demographic. He states: “We feel that this area is good for not only tourists, but the historic area has a great network and neighborhood area, too, that we feel we can be a part of.”
