Raising Cane’s is angling for an inaugural Lehigh Valley location. The fast-casual chicken restaurant aims to open a new restaurant at 6216 Hamilton Boulevard in mid-to-late summer of 2024, reports local media outlet Lehigh Valley News.
The chain was granted a zoning ordinance by the Lower Macungie Township Zoning Hearing Board for lighting and signage.
Further approvals have been tabled until July 11. Before the project can move forward, further engineering consideration is required.
Raising Cane’s states they hope to break ground on construction before the end of 2023.
The proposed plans would allow for a double-drive through, as well as a 3,589 square-foot restaurant space.
Raising Cane’s began life in Baton Rouge in 1996. The chain, which focuses almost exclusively on chicken tenders, has expanded to include over 600 locations globally. Raising Cane’s menu features chicken fingers on their own or in a sandwich. Each tender is made-to-order fresh, daily. The establishment also offers coleslaw and freshly cut fries, as sides.
