A brand new restaurant from Conceptually Social called Alden is preparing to open in the Phoenix Art Museum, located at 1625 N Central Avenue.

Previously, What Now Phoenix reported that Conceptually Social, a local hospitality company led by Kyu Utsunomiya and Troy Watkins, is preparing to open a new restaurant in Phoenix and soon relocate to another. Now, after some delays, more details have emerged, according to AZ Central. Alden will open in Spring 2025 and offer global flavors with a creative, modern twist, grab-and-go pastries, and coffee in the mornings.

The concept is named after Alden B. Dow, the architect of the museum’s original 1959 building. While Conceptually Social will handle this project, the hospitality group partnered with Monica X Castillo to operate the restaurant. The Valley’s diverse community inspires the menu, which features dishes such as salmon crudo, zesty sesame salad, and short ribs. Alden will host four intimate, invite-only, salon-style dining events in February and March to build anticipation for the grand opening.

“Alden is the upcoming newly renovated 3,862-square-foot restaurant at Phoenix Art Museum,” according to the company’s website. “Open five days a week for lunch, dinner, and grab-and-go service, Alden @ PhxArt is a unique culinary destination, set alongside the museum’s stunning Dorrance Sculpture Garden and offering new American cuisine with flavors found throughout our diverse community. With a broad selection of nourishing and sumptuous meals made from seasonal ingredients, Alden has something to satisfy every craving.”
