Doppio Zero, a longtime favorite with Bay Area Californians for its Neapolitan pizzas and Italian classics, is expanding its brand.

Restaurant co-founders Gianni Chiloiro and Angelo Sannino, who currently own and operate five Bay area locations of the popular chain, recently announced they would expand their restaurant portfolio, opening  two more Bay Area locations in 2026 and one in Sacramento in 2027.

Additionally, the partners are considering an expansion into Arizona — with their eyes on Scottsdale as their first restaurant location. In an interview with the San Francisco Business Times, Gianni Chiloiro shared his plans, saying, “It’s a challenge that we’d like to take on. But the principle is whether or not our concept works outside the Bay Area.”

Currently, there’s no timeline on an Arizona restaurant, but good pizza is always welcome in Scottsdale and Doppio Zero has quite the pedigree. The restaurant is listed as one of the World’s Top Pizza Chains in the 2025 Guide to the Top Pizzerias in the World, and was listed in the 2024 California Michelin Guide as a “recommended” restaurant.

In addition to award-winning pizzas, Doppio Zero offers a range of favorite dishes such as lasagna, zuppa de pesce (seafood stew), wild boar fettuccine, ravioli, and gnocchi.
