Culinary Gangster, a family-owned restaurant offering a diverse menu that blends comfort food with healthier options, is expanding with a new location at 513 E Roosevelt Street in Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row Arts District.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Full Speed Chicken & Ribs, a short-lived fast-casual concept from the owners of Little Miss BBQ. This will be the first franchised location in Arizona, joining other franchised units nationwide. Company founder Richard Raschillo tells What Now Phoenix that this location will be owned and operated by his son, Rocco Raschillo, and will offer a unique line of alcoholic beverages not seen at other locations. Rocco Raschillo tells What Now Phoenix that this location is expected to open in early July 2025.

The restaurant features a variety of dishes, including gourmet burgers, sandwiches, quinoa bowls, wraps, salads, and breakfast items, all made in a scratch kitchen. Signature dishes include the Spicy Gangster Burger, the PBJ & J Burger, and a Sweet Potato Quinoa Bowl. The establishment prides itself on providing flavorful and nutritious meals for its customers. Rocco tells What Now that the bar menu is still being finalized, but plans to offer a selection of trendy bottled and canned beers, spritzers, and a few wine and spirit options.

Culinary Gangster follows a BYOB policy, allowing patrons to bring their own wine, beer, or spirits with no corkage fee. The restaurant provides glasses and bottle openers, making it easier for guests to enjoy their drinks with their meal. This policy enhances the overall dining experience and offers a more personal touch to each visit. The restaurant is known for its laid-back atmosphere and convenient service options.

In addition to the regular dining experience, Culinary Gangster offers catering services for events such as corporate gatherings, weddings, and parties. The restaurant also operates a food truck available for private events across Scottsdale and Phoenix. This mobile service provides a unique way to experience their menu while offering flexibility for event hosts. Culinary Gangster’s catering and food truck services are popular for various occasions.
