Eggstasy, a café serving up breakfast, lunch, and fresh-squeezed orange juice, has plans to expand to Phoenix. Eggstasy currently has four brick-and-mortars: three in Scottsdale, and their newest one, in Chandler.

A fifth location is in the works. Eggstasy was recently approved for a liquor license at 2501 W Happy Valley Road in Phoenix. Owner Peter Verros wrote in an email to What Now Phoenix on May 18th, “We just started construction today, so we’re looking at 10-12 weeks to build. Tentative date to open is September 1st.”

“The location is directly behind Zuppas, across from Osteria Mia [and] next door to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory,” Verros added.

If you haven’t heard, Eggstasy is committed to ‘a surreal dining experience.’ According to the café’s website, “We offer the freshest ingredients in the market, often purchasing same-day. We aim to source clean, seasonal and fair trade ingredients of the highest quality working with artisan producers who care about their craft as much as we do.” Even their orange juice is squeezed fresh daily.

Eggstasy’s punny menu encourages, among other things, a ‘foreplay’ of ricotta toast or an ‘eggasm’ of coddled egg, potato purée, and crispy prosciutto on toasted ciabatta, before moving on the main event: ‘eggmazing’ items like frittatas, hash and eggs, and omelettes. A highlight for me: their pancakes are served with 100% pure Vermont maple syrup. The café also offers an array of lunch items.

Now tell me, does it get much happier than that?
