Porta Via is planning its first Arizona restaurant at Scottsdale Fashion Square, 7014 E. Camelback Road, according to the restaurant’s Instagram. The new location is expected to open in 2027.
A representative for the project confirmed the Scottsdale plans to What Now Phoenix and said the team is still finalizing details surrounding the opening. A formal announcement with more information is expected soon.
Porta Via is a California bistro and bar founded by Peter Garland in Beverly Hills in 1994. The restaurant later expanded to Pacific Palisades, Calabasas, and Palm Desert.
The restaurants serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes salads, pastas, seafood, steaks, sandwiches, and other bistro dishes, plus cocktails and wine.
Garland opened the first Porta Via on Canon Drive in Beverly Hills in 1994 after leaving a career in public relations. The restaurant started with just a few tables and later expanded with locations in Pacific Palisades, Calabasas, and Palm Desert.
The Scottsdale restaurant will bring the brand outside California. For now, few details have been released about the new space, including its size, design, menu, and exact opening timeline.
The Porta Via and Scottsdale Fashion Square teams are still working through details of the project, and What Now Phoenix will update this article as more information becomes available.
