Élephante, the “breezy” coastal Italian restaurant from Wish You Were Here Group, is set to launch its second location at Scottsdale Fashion Square next year, five years after opening its flagship location in Santa Monica.
“We are thrilled to bring Élephante to Scottsdale, a city that boasts a stunning landscape and a thriving culinary scene,” Wish You Were Here Group’s founder Nick Mathers, said in a press release announcing the venture, adding, “This year, we’re celebrating five years since Élephante opened its doors in Santa Monica, so we feel this is the perfect evolution of our brand.”
Since its inception, Élephante has promised to “transport guests from Los Angeles to the Southern Mediterranean with stunning ocean views and dramatic sunsets.”
However, given that ocean views will be few and far between at its new home, Élephante Scottsdale with offer diners a “jungle oasis in the middle of the desert while still keeping the organic, breezy feel of Élephante in Los Angeles,” complete with a “sophisticated cocktail lounge and a more expansive menu” of premium meats, sustainable seafood, and larger family-style dishes to compliment its signature wood-fired pizzas, fresh pastas, and famed whipped eggplant dip.
“With its vibrant community that appreciates elevated dining experiences, it’s a favorable market for restaurants, especially in Scottsdale Fashion Square,” said Mathers. “We have created an atmosphere that captures the essence of sophistication while preserving the organic, laid-back feel that defines our first location.
