According to a recent permit filing, Island Style Charters has filed for a downtown location at 315 SW Montgomery Street.

“We are beyond excited about it. We love Portland and want to get Portland back on the map and people out and about. We will be doing something different. Island Style will be a tropical-themed party boat. We’re not sure yet on an opening date, but it will be coming soon,” Dale Orgain, co-owner of Island Style, told What Now Portland.

“We will have a fun palapa-looking roof, and it’s going to be a boat for 50 passengers. The goal is to do super fun, high-end drinks, like something you’d find in a tiki bar. We will be starting with beer, wine, cider, and things like that.”

“There will be an open-air situation with a roof on about 3 quarters of the boat. We will do guided tours in the day and afternoon where we will go over Portland history and play some fun games. When evening rolls around we will be having sunset cruises and more of a party atmosphere.”

The big goal is to have private event options, such as corporate events or team bonding events. We will have a good sound system with underwater lights and on-deck lights on the boat as well.”
