Located at 1495 NE Alberta Street, Mémoire Cà Phê is “A Vietnamese Brunch Experience” created by a team of local chefs and restaurateurs. It’s headed up by Kim Dam, founder of Portland Cà Phê; Richard Le, owner of Matta; and Lisa Nguyen, co-founder of Heyday Donuts.

“Mèmoire for us is an homage to our late parents and paying tribute to them by recreating some of the foods we enjoyed with them growing up,” says the cafe’s website. “Fast food breakfasts, trips to the mall, early morning coffee & donut runs all comprise of the backbone for our menu.”

The Mémoire Cà Phê menu features choices like the Đặc Biệt Waffle (choice of waffle, fish sauce bacon, fried egg, arugula, crunchy stuff, scallion, and spicy syrup), the Sando (Choice of protein, American cheese, fried egg, đặc biệt sauce, hash browns, and housemade milk bun), and the Burrito (Choice of protein, hash brown, scrambled eggs, hot sauce, avocado salsa, cheese, flour tortilla).

Now, Mémoire Cà Phê is preparing to relocate to an upgraded location.

“Friends and fam! We’ve got big news!!” said an Instagram post published by the restaurant earlier this week. “An incredible opportunity has presented itself and we’ve secured a bigger location that’s still on Alberta! We knew that we would’ve outgrown this space eventually, and your support for our little shop made that realization come much faster than we anticipated. So thanks to all of you who have come through and put us in the weeds!”

The address of the new location has not yet been revealed, so stay tuned.
