A new rebranded Chinese restaurant may soon be coming to the Arbor Lodge neighborhood.

A new business listed as Chinese Kitchen & Pub recently put in a liquor license at 1730 N Lombard Street According to owner De Chen, his business is taking over Northside Restaurant & Lounge. This restaurant currently serves Chinese food, and if approved it will be rebranded soon.

Chen said a new menu of signature Chinese food will be served at the restaurant, and he has worked with the current location before. Current menu items include sesame chicken, curry beef, Mongolian chicken and chicken fried rice. The new menu has not yet been announced.

There are many options for Chinese food in the Portland area, including Xin Ding Dumpling House, 28 Tigers, Chef Zhao and Happy House. Northside, right next to Legendz bar, is currently the only Chinese restaurant in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood.

According to the City of Portland Liquor License Department, this application is for a change of ownership at the restaurant.

In the liquor license application, comments are due by May 22, so there will be no approval or rebranding until then. The listed hours are 8 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
