Sur La Table is returning to Oregon with a new store at Bridgeport Village, 7301 SW Bridgeport Rd in Tigard, rolling out the location in three distinct phases. According to Head of Marketing, Kristin Flor Perret , the retailer will welcome guests with a soft opening on October 14 and 15, followed by its Culinary Center opening on October 21, and a full Grand Opening celebration on October 24.

Perret said the phased approach lets the company make sure every part of the store, from the retail floor to its cooking classes, is ready to deliver the full Sur la Table experience before fully opening its doors. Sur la Table previously had a presence in Oregon, and Perret said returning to the state has long been a top priority for the company, calling Bridgeport Village one of the Portland area’s premier shopping and dining destinations and a natural fit to reconnect with Oregon customers.

Perret described what sets Sur la Table apart from a typical kitchenware retailer, framing the brand as a resource rather than just a store. That means hands-on cooking classes taught by real instructors, a curated assortment of chef-trusted tools, and associates trained in the craft rather than simply the SKU. She said customers come to Sur la Table not just to buy a pan, but to learn a new technique, get inspired for a dinner party, or find the right gift for someone they love to cook with.

“We can’t wait to welcome Portland into the Sur la Table family,” Perret said. “Whether you’re an experienced home cook or just getting started, our new Bridgeport Village store will be a place to learn, gather, and get inspired. We’ll be hosting cooking classes and events from day one, so come say hello and get hands-on in the kitchen with us.”
