A fun speakeasy themed to a popular TV show from the 90s may soon be a new spot to grab a drink in the city.

The listed applicant of Bang Bang Bar, Dan DiCicco, said the new bar will be themed to the show Twin Peaks, the award-winning crime drama depicting a small town in the Pacific Northwest. This is to be at 1953 NW Kearney Street, right next to ComedySportz Portland comedy club.

“We are working on bringing a really cool Twin Peaks-vibe speakeasy and theater to life in Northwest Portland,” DiCicco told What Now Portland. DiCiccio did not have any other updates on the space.

The area of the proposed bar is surrounded by two neighborhoods, Nob Hill and Pearl District, which both have many bars and restaurants. Cafe Nell bistro is two buildings over from the proposed location.

DiCicco submitted the application on April 8, and comments are due by May 8. As of now, there is no official drink or food menu. The listed hours are 6 p.m. to 12 a.m.

What Now Portland  has spoken with the owner, and this article may be updated.
