D&D Luxe Jewelers is opening a new location at Clackamas Town Center, at 12000 SE 82nd Ave. in Happy Valley. Co-owner Jose Estrada confirmed to What Now Portland that the store is targeting an opening around Nov. 14.
The store is a family-owned business that sells everything from watches to gold and silver jewelry. The company is based in Portland and has been in business since 1987. It keeps its jewelry work in-house, offers handmade pieces and limited-edition collections, and also has a location at Woodburn Premium Outlets.
Two services set the store apart. One is same-day repairs. The other is custom work, including new pieces made to order, from grills and gold teeth to anything else a customer can imagine. “We do a lot of custom work, from grills to anything you can imagine with gold. We can make it,” he said.
The new store will join about 170 stores and services at Clackamas Town Center, which opened in 1981. The mall’s anchors include JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Macy’s, and a Sky Zone trampoline park is set to open in the former Nordstrom this year. It also has a 20-screen Century movie theater and is served by the MAX Green Line at the Clackamas Town Center Transit Center, making it one of the busiest shopping stops in the southeast metro area.
Estrada said shoppers should expect something different from the typical jewelry store. “Stay ready, because this is going to be a new jewelry store, more different than your regular jewelry,” he told What Now Portland. “It’s going to be a lot more modern jewelry.”
