5 Restaurants Received Green Placards After Follow-Ups
Five restaurants underwent health inspection between February 2 and 6 and were flagged for several health code violations. All the establishments were given green placards following reinspection and corrective actions.
Carnitas El Rincon

- Inspection Date: January 30, 2026
- Follow-up Date: February 2, 2026
Carnitas El Rincon, a Mexican restaurant, underwent an inspection on January 30 and was found to be in violation of improper cooling temperatures and the buildup of dust and grease, among several others.

The Sacramento health department conducted an inspection at Mexican spot El Tapatio on February 2. The restaurant was cited for improper temperature control and unsafe cooling practices for cooked food.

Asian restaurant Galt China Express was unable to showcase food-safety practices. The restaurant was cited for grease build-up, broken tiles, improper food temperature, and blocked hand-wash sinks.

The Sacramento health department carried out an inspection at Vinhouse Tea & Coffee on February 4. The restaurant was found in violation of unclear identification of food items, incorrect temperature control, and the use of non-commercial equipment in the facility.

A reinspection was conducted on February 6, where the report noted that all major violations were corrected except one. The facility deviated from the original Plan Review-approved floor plan and equipment, and has installed a steam table in the dining area for buffet service.
