Bacio di Latte is heading to the Sacramento area with a new location at Westfield Galleria at Roseville, located at 1151 Galleria Blvd. The Brazilian-born artisanal gelato chain has been on a steady march across California over the past several years, and the new Roseville outpost marks its first push into the greater Sacramento market. No opening date has been announced yet.
Founded in São Paulo, Brazil in 2011 by brothers Edoardo and Luigi Tonolli, the brand was built on a simple but precise idea: gelato made fresh every morning in each shop, using organic milk and cream sourced from family farms. The brothers spent years studying traditional Italian gelato-making techniques across Italy before launching their first location, and that obsession with craft has carried the brand to more than 250 locations worldwide, with a U.S. footprint concentrated almost entirely in California.
The Tonolli brothers brought Bacio di Latte to the United States in 2017 with a flagship in Los Angeles, and the brand has been expanding steadily ever since. It now has locations in Santa Monica, Pasadena, Irvine, Larchmont Village, Glendale, and the Bay Area, with Roseville representing its northernmost California location to date.
The menu goes well beyond a standard scoop. Guests can expect more than 20 rotating flavors like Belgian chocolate, salted caramel, pistachio, and vanilla among the year-round staples, alongside vegan-friendly options like strawberry, raspberry, and lemon. Beyond gelato, the shop offers an affogato bar, the signature ciocchino (a cone filled with Nutella or pistachio cream and topped with crushed nuts), cookie-and-gelato pairings, and take-home pints for the road.
