When one taco joint folds, another fires up the grill.

Jimboy’s Tacos has officially closed its Downtown Commons location, and El Burrito Taqueria is stepping in to take over the Suite 220 space at 405 K St, reports the Sacramento Business Journal.

Owner Jose Cortez launched the original Taqueria El Burrito in Davis back in 2012. Since then, the brand has grown to include locations in Natomas, Roseville, Auburn, Del Paso, and Uptown.

Known for its traditional Mexican fare and variety of street eats, the menu features everything from nachos, tacos, and enchiladas to tortas, quesadillas, and, of course, burritos.

Cortez told What Now Sacramento that an opening date for the new location has not yet been set.

Jimboy’s continues to dish out its signature Parmesan-dusted ground beef tacos and other Mexican-inspired bites at more than 40 locations across California and Nevada.
