According to the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control data, a new liquor license for Ryan Darrall Wine appears to be pending. The business is building a new tasting room in Suisun Valley and shared a construction update on its Facebook page in late February, showing that windows and doors are installed.

Founded and operated by Ryan Darrall, the new tasting room is aiming to open in early July and is currently in the process of completing landscaping. Darrall told What Now Sacramento over the phone that the interiors are mostly complete and that they are only waiting to finish a few final pieces. Darrall expects the space to be ready for the final inspection by June. The new tasting room will feature outdoor seating along a covered bar area and a communal table. There will also be additional seating on the open patio.

Growing up in Napa Valley, Darrall has been in the wine business since he was sixteen, starting with cellars and tasting rooms and eventually moving on to doing sales in Southern California. Darrall came across the Suisun Valley community in 2018 while his employer was developing a project. The area always had emerging wineries but never truly took off. “Which doesn’t make any sense,” said Darrall, pointing out that Suisun Valley had just as suitable, if not better climate and environment to make great wines.

Darrall began the project in 2018 when he came across the building at 4994 Gordon Valley. The property had an existing Chardonnay vineyard onsite. But it wasn’t until 2020 that Darrall secured the purchase deal. “The wine community has always been here. If you came in the 1980s, you’d see small wineries here. Suisun Valley is beautiful and has so much potential.” Darrall said, adding that the tasting room is only part of a bigger vision Darrall had for the lot he’d purchased.
