Levels has filed for a new liquor license at 722 K St in downtown Sacramento, taking over the space previously home to Tiger Restaurant & Lounge, right next to the Golden 1 Center. The license is held by Golden City Entertainment, with Juan Ruben Chavez listed as president and Maximilian Ali Chavez as vice president, according to California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control records filed August 31.
Chavez confirmed the new business to What Now Sacramento but said the project is still quite a ways out, declining to share full details on the concept until we’re closer to the opening. He described the vision broadly as bringing an eatery and club combination to the address, saying the goal is to make a real difference in a space that’s already seen bars come and go. Chavez estimated an opening sometime around December or the beginning of next year, though that timeline isn’t locked in yet.
The address has cycled through more than one nightlife concept over the years, with Tiger Restaurant & Lounge, established in 2018, building a following for its food and cocktails, live music and patio seating just steps from Golden 1 Center’s downtown foot traffic.
