Trailblazer Craft Pizza & Brews, a locally-owned pizza and beer concept that has been around since 2017, is getting ready to open a new location in Auburn at 2500 Bell Road.
The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of an Applebee’s Grill + Bar in the Crossroads Shopping Center, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. Trailblazer Craft Pizza & Brews, which operates at 15690 Johnson Place, specializes in craft pizzas named after hiking trails and uses homemade crust with specialty sauces. When the new location opens, hopefully by April 1, customers can expect a bar area at the center of the restaurant with dining tables surrounding it, as well as a section for large groups and a large covered patio area that can accommodate special events.
This is a massive accomplishment for the business, which consists of President Jim Everhart and his family, including Kimberly Everhart, Zachary Everhart, Suri Everhart, and Meghan Everhart Cratty. Besides general manager Mike Bergland, the business is entirely family-owned and operated. The ownership group bought Alta Sierra Pizza and Grill and changed the name to its current iteration. Now, Trailblazer Craft Pizza & Brews is preparing to expand for the first time with a new standalone restaurant, approximately 5,000 square feet.
“At Trailblazer Craft Pizza & Brews, we take pride in crafting the perfect pizza combinations,” according to the company’s website. “We support buying local, which is why you’ll always find some of the best craft brews from local breweries on tap. We’re raising the bar for the best pizza experience, whether it’s perfecting our crust or making sure our team knows just what brew to recommend with your order.”
