La Marquerida, a new restaurant, is coming to 1801 Rodd Field Rd. in Corpus Christi, with construction scheduled to wrap up in April 2027. The space is listed with Jonatan Salas as the tenant. Interior work started this week on the 4,089-square-foot space, which fills Suites 107 and 108 at the Lakeview Drive Retail Center.

The project is a new build-out for the restaurant, with an estimated cost of $108,000. It is privately funded, and the work is scheduled to run from Oct. 5, 2026, to April 5, 2027.

The restaurant is moving into a building that is itself new. Lakeview Drive Retail Center is a 14,781-square-foot, single-story retail building that was built in 2025, with the restaurant taking up about a quarter of the space.

Rodd Field Road is a busy commercial corridor in Corpus Christi, lined with fast-food chains, local restaurants and shopping centers. The area already has restaurants nearby, including El Potro Restaurant, which is at 1401 Rodd Field Rd.
