The Art of Donut has announced the permanent closure. After a decade of business, the chic bakery will close its doors on July 26. The team said it plans to relocate to another city and launch a new concept.
The Art of Donut Prepares to Shut Down
Located at 3428 N St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio, The Art of Donut is a local favorite dessert destination. The bakery started its journey as a simple food truck. Over the years, it has become a gourmet donut and coffee shop.
In an Instagram post, the bakery team shared the news of its closure and stated that the location will shut down on July 26. The closure marks the end of a longstanding decade of service in the San Antonio community.
The team shared an emotional note and mentioned, “After 10 incredible years of serving you delicious donuts and coffee and building cherished memories, we want to share some bittersweet news.”
Even though the St. Mary’s Street bakery location is closing, the Art of Donut team plans a return soon. The team has assured that “we prepare to embark on an exciting new adventure in a different city.”
The team added that the bakery will share more updates about the upcoming new concept soon.

About the Bakery
The Art of Donut was founded in 2026 by a couple, Andrea and Miguel. It was one of the first craft donut food trucks. The bakery offered handmade donuts, coffee, and a casual atmosphere. Recommended items on the menu include Unicorn, Chipmunk, and Blueberry cakes.
