Tim Hortons is preparing to expand its San Antonio footprint with a new location planned for North San Antonio.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), the Canadian coffee chain will renovate the former Starbucks space at 18154 Blanco Rd., Suite 106, into a new Tim Hortons. The project calls for the renovation of an existing 1,250-square-foot space and carries an estimated construction cost of $200,000.
Construction is expected to begin on September 7, 2026, with completion currently targeted for November 18, 2026.
Project documents describe the work as the renovation of the existing coffee shop into a new Tim Hortons location. The project is privately funded, with DBO Properties Ltd. listed as the property owner and Luna Architecture serving as the project’s design firm.
Founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, Tim Hortons has grown into one of North America’s largest quick-service restaurant brands. The chain is known for its signature coffee, Timbits, doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, wraps and a variety of baked goods and beverages. In recent years, the company has accelerated its expansion across the United States, including Texas.
While speaking with What Now San Antonio, Eduardo Castilleja confirmed that he is the franchise owner of the upcoming Blanco Road location, additional details about the project, including the anticipated opening date and what customers can expect, have not yet been announced.
The new location will add another coffee option to North San Antonio as Tim Hortons continues to grow its presence across the state. This story may be updated as more information becomes available.
