A new boutique hotel is preparing to join San Antonio’s Pearl district, bringing 166 suites and a residential-inspired design to one of the city’s best-known culinary and cultural destinations.
Perlen House is scheduled to open May 1, 2027, along the Museum Reach of the San Antonio River Walk. Developed by Oxbow Development Group, the nine-story property will become the second hotel in the Pearl district, joining Hotel Emma.
The hotel’s exact street address has not been provided in the announcement. Designed as a riverside retreat, Perlen House will feature spacious all-suite accommodations, high-design interiors, a full-service lobby bar, and a pool deck. The property will also offer 7,700 square feet of meeting and event space, including indoor-outdoor gathering areas intended for weddings, celebrations, and corporate retreats.
According to the announcement, the hotel aims to blend European influences with contemporary design and a distinctly San Antonio atmosphere.
The name Perlen House comes from the German word for “pearls,” referencing the brewing heritage of the historic Pearl Brewery. The property’s identity draws on the district’s origins as a brewery and its evolution into a destination for dining, shopping, entertainment, and cultural programming.
Guests will be within walking distance of the Pearl district’s restaurants, independent boutiques, and other attractions. The area includes Pullman Market, Stable Hall, and weekend farmers markets, alongside year-round cultural events.
The district has also become a notable destination for food enthusiasts, reflecting San Antonio’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Its dining scene includes Michelin-recognized restaurants and a variety of culinary concepts.
Perlen House is being positioned as a new accommodation option for travelers looking to experience the neighborhood while staying close to the River Walk.
The hotel is expected to open May 1, 2027. Additional details about reservations and the property’s full offerings may be announced closer to the opening date.
