A fast-growing bagel chain is heading to Oceanside this month. PopUp Bagels is opening its second location in San Diego. The new location will be operated by local franchise partners known as The Bagel Boyz.
PopUp Bagels Is Debuting in Oceanside
PopUp Bagels is bringing its hot, whole bagels to a new location in San Diego County. The new store is opening at 510 Vista Way, marking the brand’s first location in Oceanside. The store is opening after the brand’s San Diego debut in La Jolla in late 2025.
The Oceanside location will be operated by local franchise partners Paul Goodman and Griffin Thall. Also known as “The Bagel Boyz,” they are known for their commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and integrity. Following strong interest in the La Jolla location, this expansion reflects the growing popularity of the bagel brand.
PopUp Bagels is known for serving hot bagels whole rather than as sandwiches. Its rotating cream cheese schmear flavors and small menu have helped it stand out in the growing bagel scene.
Opening Day Celebration
The opening celebration of PopUp Bagels Oceanside will be held on May 22, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The launch will feature a limited-time Blackberry Jalapeño Crunch Schmear created in partnership with Brian Malarkey. The flavor is exclusive to the San Diego locations.
The new store will serve the brand’s signature and fan-favorite items to the neighborhood. It will offer customers hot and fresh bagels that are perfect to “grip, rip, and dip.”
The Oceanside debut marks PopUp Bagels’ continued growth in California. It also brings a unique and exciting fast-casual option to the neighborhood.
