Casera Cafe is making progress on introducing their new concept in Inland Oceanside. A quick stop for authentic South American flavors, the kitchen and bakery will join Rancho Del Oro Gateway shopping center soon.
The project is a long time coming according to owner Luis Via, who tells What Now San Diego the location had experienced hiccups that delayed progress for several months. Now things are moving fast and Via will soon be able to share his mom’s recipes born in their New York kitchen.
Via explains Casera Cafe is a true passion project and a pivot from his studies in biochemistry. Via shares that he grew up operating restaurants and will now bring new flavors to the San Diego area.
Casera Cafe will primarily feature Peruvian and Columbian dishes like empanadas, arepas, and fried plantains, but the spotlight will be on their Columbian bread made in-house. A fast-casual concept, built for grab-and-go dining, the cafe will also serve Puerto Rican and Argentinian foods.
Casera Cafe is running through the final rounds of permit approvals with the city and expects to announce a soft opening soon. Learn more about the new bakery by following on Instagram.
